Troubleshooting
Common issues and first-pass fixes.
Most SPDFY deployments launch smoothly in under two minutes, but occasionally a detail may need attention before everything goes live.
This page walks through the most common issues operators encounter — and the quick fixes for each.
If you ever need help, SPDFY support is available 24/7 to resolve any problem.
My Website Isn’t Showing Up Yet
1. DNS Changes Are Still Propagating
If you brought your own domain, DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to fully propagate.
What to do:
- Wait 5–30 minutes and refresh your browser
- Use a DNS checker to confirm your nameserver updates
- Make sure you replaced nameservers, not individual DNS records
SPDFY will activate your site automatically as soon as DNS is settled.
2. Your Domain Configuration Isn’t Complete
If you selected a free domain during onboarding, it may take an extra minute to process registration.
What to do:
Nothing — this completes automatically.
If it takes longer than 5 minutes, contact support.
My Phone Number Isn’t Working
1. Call Forwarding Isn’t Set Correctly
If calls are not reaching your device, double-check your forwarding number.
What to do:
- Go to your dashboard
- Open Phone Settings
- Ensure the forwarding number is correct and active
Changes take effect immediately.
2. VoIP Apps or Carrier Settings Are Blocking Calls
Some mobile carriers or VoIP apps may block forwarded calls if certain filters are enabled.
Consider checking:
- Silence Unknown Callers (iPhone)
- Call Blocking settings
- Carrier spam filtering
Forwarded calls appear as a normal incoming call — no app required.
3. You Missed a Verification Step (rare)
If SPDFY requires additional verification for your number, your dashboard will notify you.
Once submitted, activation is instant.
Call Recordings or Transcripts Aren’t Appearing
1. The Call Was Very Short
Calls under a few seconds are often too short to record or transcribe.
2. The Caller Hung Up Before Greeting
SPDFY captures recordings when audio begins.
If no audio is detected, no transcript is generated.
3. Minor Processing Delay
Recordings and transcripts typically appear within a few seconds, but high traffic periods may add a short delay.
If a recording or transcript hasn’t appeared after 1 minute, you can refresh your dashboard.
I Can’t See Analytics Data
1. Your Website Just Launched
Analytics begin tracking as soon as your deployment goes live, but dashboards may need a few minutes to populate.
2. No Visitors Yet
If the site is extremely new, it may simply not have traffic yet.
3. Browser Ad Blockers
Some blocker extensions prevent analytics scripts from loading during your own visits.
Try opening your website in:
- Incognito mode
- A different browser
- A mobile device
My Service Pages Don’t Look Updated
1. You Updated Services After Launch
If you added or changed services in your dashboard, your website will need regeneration to reflect those updates.
What to do:
Use the Regenerate Content button for each affected page.
2. Browser Cache Is Showing Old Content
Try a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R).
My Blog Posts Aren’t Appearing
1. Your Blog Was Just Generated
The initial blog posts appear shortly after launch.
If they don’t show up immediately, wait 1–2 minutes and refresh.
2. Ad Blockers or Extensions Are Hiding Scripts
This affects some dashboard views. Try switching browsers.
I Got an Error During Checkout
1. Payment Details Were Incomplete
Ensure:
- Your card has available balance
- ZIP/postal code matches the card
- There are no browser autofill issues
2. Network Interruption
A brief disconnect can interrupt the flow.
Reload and retry checkout.
3. Stripe Error
If the payment processor denies the charge, your dashboard will show the exact message.
For persistent issues, contact support — we can manually initialize your deployment.
My Deployment Is Taking Longer Than Expected
Standard deployment time: 90–120 seconds.
If it takes longer, it is typically due to:
- Domain registration delays
- DNS propagation
- Phone carrier routing initialization
- Temporary queueing during high traffic periods
Most delays resolve automatically within a few minutes.
If deployment takes more than 5 minutes, reach out to support.
I Entered Incorrect Business Information
No problem — everything is editable after launch.
You can update:
- Business name
- Service areas
- Services offered
- Hours
- Brand color
- Content text
- Images
- Phone settings
SPDFY will regenerate any affected pages instantly.
When Should I Contact Support?
You should contact support if:
- Deployment exceeds 5 minutes
- DNS changes don’t propagate within a reasonable window
- Your phone number isn’t activating
- Call intelligence isn’t showing after several calls
- You suspect incorrect routing
- You’re unsure about a setting
- Something feels off and you want a human to check it
SPDFY support is available 24/7.
